VISITS BY KUTSO MANAGEMENT TO PRESS REPRESENTATIVES

The management of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) continued its visits to representatives of local and national media organisations operating in the city. During the visits, views were exchanged on Kütahya’s economic and social development, the expectations of the business community, the city’s potential, and the role of the press in urban life.

As part of the visits, attended by KUTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors Esin Güral Argat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Fatih Alkış, Board Members Melih Aslan and Semra Tozaraydın, and Chairman of the Member Relations Coordination Committee Emin Yüce, the delegation visited Hüseyin Efe, Kütahya Representative of İhlas News Agency (İHA); Mustafa Cin, Proprietor of Kütahya Ekspres Newspaper and Kütahya Provincial Chairman of the Global Journalism Council; Şafak Eren, Kütahya Correspondent for Fotomaç and Editor of Foto Futbol 10 Numara; Yasin Pehlivan, Proprietor of Dumlupınar Newspaper; and Mustafa Gökdere, Proprietor of Maclife.

During the visits, developments on Kütahya’s agenda, the expectations of the business community, the city’s production and investment potential, and initiatives aimed at its economic and social development were discussed. Views were also exchanged on the role of the press in promoting Kütahya’s assets and values to wider audiences and keeping the public informed of developments across the city.

During the visit to Dumlupınar Newspaper, its 56th anniversary was celebrated. The importance of the local press in Kütahya and its contribution to the city’s agenda were also discussed, and best wishes for continued success were extended to the newspaper’s management and staff.

As part of the press visits, KUTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors Esin Güral Argat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Fatih Alkış, Board Member Melih Aslan, and Chairman of the Member Relations Coordination Committee Emin Yüce also visited Hakan Demirtaş, Proprietor of Kutahyahabercim, and İhsan Tunçoğlu, former Chairman of the Kütahya Journalists’ Association and Chairman of the Kütahya Social Assistance and Culture Foundation.

During the meetings, the contribution of interaction between the business community and the press to the development of the city was discussed. Assessments were also made regarding Kütahya’s social and cultural life, the preservation of the city’s collective memory, the transmission of cultural values to future generations, and the strengthening of social solidarity.

KUTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors Esin Güral Argat also visited Mehmet Saka, Proprietor of Kent Newspaper. During the meeting, expectations regarding Kütahya’s future, key priorities in the city’s development process, and KUTSO’s activities in this regard were discussed, while views were shared on how the city’s potential could be utilised more effectively.
