  1. The Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) was established in 1926.
  2. In 1964, the initial efforts towards the establishment of the Kütahya Organized Industrial Zone were undertaken within the framework of KUTSO.
  3. In 1966, KUTSO played an active role in the establishment of the Seyitömer Thermal Power Plant with the aim of utilising Kütahya’s rich coal potential. Following the devastating earthquake that struck Kütahya/Gediz in 1971, KUTSO constructed a student dormitory with a capacity of 200 students for the district.
  4. In 1977, in order to open Kütahya to international markets and attract foreign financing to the province, a delegation of 21 members undertook a tour of Europe. During the same period, Çinikoop, established by the coming together of tile manufacturers in Kütahya, was launched.
  5. In 1982, a fully equipped 32-room facility and an intensive care unit were added to Kütahya State Hospital.
  6. In 1996, the Chamber Assembly created a wooded area with 4,500 saplings on the Dumlupınar University campus.
  7. In the same year, the Chamber’s magazine commenced publication.
  8. Also in 1996, KUTSO pioneered the establishment of the Commodity Exchange in the province, which was officially founded in 1997.
  9. Furthermore, in 1996, KUTSO became a member of the Belgian–Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the German–Turkish Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  10. In 1997, KUTSO once again took a leading role during the establishment phase of the Kütahya Commodity Exchange.
  11. In 1998, with financing provided by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Atatürk Anatolian Industrial Vocational and Technical High School was established for the Kütahya Provincial Directorate of National Education.
  12. In 1999, the building of the Kütahya Customs Directorate, established with KUTSO financing, was allocated to the service of the Kütahya Governorship following the termination of the Directorate’s operations.
  13. In the same year, the KUTSO website was launched, and an Exhibition Hall was established to enable members to display their products.
  14. In 2000, the Martyrs’ Memorial and Park was inaugurated in memory of all martyrs across Türkiye.
  15. In 2001, the historic Kütahya Mansion, restored by KUTSO, began operating as a restaurant serving local cuisine.
  16. The quality journey initiated in 2001 continues to this day with the TSE ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certificate.
  17. In 2003, KUTSO established Kütahya Çimento Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., a strong example of partnership culture and today the first and only special-production company in Türkiye operating under the Kü-Blok brand.
  18. Between 2006 and 2007, KUTSO led the efforts for the establishment of the 2nd Kütahya Organized Industrial Zone.
  19. In 2008, KUTSO obtained the Accredited Chamber Certificate and, in the same year, received the KUTSO Trademark Registration Certificate.
  20. Also in 2008, KUTSO commenced operations in its new service building.
  21. In 2009, in cooperation with Dumlupınar University, KUTSO became a partner in Tasarım Teknokent A.Ş.
  22. In 2010, KUTSO took the lead in the opening of the Anemon Hotel at the ancient city of Aizanoi in Kütahya/Çavdarhisar, with the contributions of TÜRSAB and TOBB.
  23. In 2011, the KUTSO Kindergarten, financed with contributions from members, was brought into service in Kütahya. In the same year, space was allocated within the service building to the KOSGEB Kütahya Service Centre Directorate in order to facilitate members’ activities.
  24. Also in 2011, KUTSO became a shareholder in Büyük Anadolu Logistics Organisations (BALO) A.Ş. and Afyonkarahisar ABİGEM A.Ş.
  25. In 2013:

  1. Separate working offices were allocated within the service building for KUTSO’s 14 professional committees and entrepreneurial boards.

  2. KUTSEV (Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry Education Foundation) was established.

  3. The KUTSO Ehrami Karaçam Memorial Forest was created.

  4. The KUTSO Industrial Vocational High School was constructed.

  5. At Zafer Regional Airport, a CIP lounge was allocated by KUTSO for the use of all chamber and exchange members under the umbrella of TOBB.

  6. In 2014, the TSE ISO Customer Satisfaction Management System Certificate was obtained, and the validity of the certificate continues to be maintained.
  7. In 2015, KUTSO pioneered the establishment of the Kütahya Altıntaş Zafer Organized Industrial Zone, the foundation of which was completed in 2017. KUTSO also holds a 33% shareholding in this zone.
  8. In the same year, achieving a first among chambers under the umbrella of TOBB, KUTSO integrated its quality and accreditation systems and obtained the KALİTASYON trademark registration certificate.
  9. In 2016, the White Book, serving as the implementation guide for the Kalitasyon system, was published.
  10. In 2017, within the scope of the TOBB Chamber/Commodity Exchange Accreditation System, KUTSO was upgraded to Category A.
  11. In 2020, KUTSO led the establishment of the Kütahya Ceramics Organized Industrial Zone and holds a 93% shareholding therein.
  12. In 2021, following the TOBB Chamber/Commodity Exchange Accreditation System audit, KUTSO maintained its Category A status and ranked third among Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
  13. In 2022, with the support of TOBB, a Vocational High School was opened within the Kütahya Organized Industrial Zone.
  14. In 2023, KUTSO signed a Letter of Goodwill with KalDer for the transition to the EFQM Model and, following the audit conducted in the same year, began implementing the EFQM Model after receiving a 3-Star rating. Following the 2025 audit, KUTSO continues to implement the EFQM Model with a 4-Star rating.
  15. In 2023, a Women’s Entrepreneurship Office was established within KUTSO.
  16. Also in 2023, in cooperation with the Kütahya Organized Industrial Zone, a Memorial Forest was created in the Organized Industrial Zone in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Republic.
  17. In 2024, the TOBBUYUM Arbitration and Mediation Centre and the Export Support Office were opened within KUTSO.
  18. KUTSO comprises 14 professional committees, 34 Assembly Members, and 9 Members of the Board of Directors.
  • KUTSO has sister chamber protocols with the Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chechen Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
