KUTSO HOSTS INFORMATION MEETING ON LABOUR INSPECTIONS AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY LEGISLATION

Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) hosted an information meeting entitled “Legislative Non-Compliance Identified During Labour Inspections on Work Organisation and Occupational Health and Safety, and Methods of Compliance”, organised in cooperation with the Guidance and Inspection Presidency of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

The programme, held in the KUTSO Assembly Hall, was attended by Chief Labour Inspectors Yeşim Erkoç, Ömer Cirit, and Sefer Konu from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Deputy Head of the Bursa Guidance and Inspection Group Burcu Şenol, and Kütahya Provincial Director of İŞKUR, Erdoğan Şahin. During the meeting, employers and business representatives received up-to-date information on labour legislation and occupational health and safety practices.

The programme covered the most common legislative non-compliance identified during labour inspections, key issues requiring attention in occupational health and safety practices, and practical examples encountered during inspection processes. Participants were provided with recommendations for achieving compliance with the relevant legislation, while practical challenges faced by businesses were also discussed.

During the question-and-answer session, participants had the opportunity to raise their questions directly with the experts. The Chief Labour Inspectors provided detailed explanations and practical guidance on the issues raised.
