The Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) brought together members who have participated in its international programmes to date for an evaluation and consultation meeting.

Hosted by Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KUTSO, and attended by Members of the Board of Directors, the meeting was held at Gül Palas. Participants who had joined KUTSO’s programmes to Uzbekistan, the United States, Egypt, and China came together to evaluate the experiences, observations, and cooperation opportunities gained during these visits.

In her opening remarks, Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KUTSO, stated that one of the Chamber’s key objectives throughout her term has been to strengthen the integration of Kütahya’s business community into international markets. She emphasised that the overseas programmes organised by KUTSO are far more than travel arrangements; they are strategic initiatives designed to facilitate members’ access to global markets.

Argat noted that the programmes organised to Uzbekistan, the United States, Egypt, and China included visits to diplomatic missions, chambers of commerce and industry, investment institutions, and international trade fairs. These visits provided members with first-hand insight into different production models, investment environments, and business cultures.

She further highlighted that international trade today extends well beyond the sale of products, stressing that lasting commercial relationships are built through establishing the right connections, fostering trust, and developing sustainable partnerships. She added that KUTSO’s primary objective is to prepare its members for new markets, introduce them to different business models, and enable them to experience global competition at first hand.

During the meeting, participants also noted that the international programmes had strengthened knowledge sharing and fostered new business partnerships among members. Views and recommendations regarding future overseas programmes were discussed, with participants emphasising the significant contribution these initiatives have made to expanding the international networks of Kütahya’s business community.

The meeting also included discussions on making future international programmes more sector-focused. Particular emphasis was placed on continuing programmes centred on advanced manufacturing technologies, high value-added industries, and emerging investment opportunities.

The programme concluded with an exchange of views among participants, followed by the sharing of best wishes.
