EXPORT FINANCING AND NEXT-GENERATION EXPORT SUPPORT PROGRAMME HOSTED BY KUTSO

The Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) hosted the “Export Financing and Next-Generation Export Support Programme”, organised under the chairmanship of Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya, Director General of Exports at the Ministry of Trade, with strong participation from the Kütahya business community.

The programme was attended by Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KUTSO, Members of the Board of Directors, Hıfzı Oğuz Korkmaz, Head of the Department of Promotion and Fairs at the Ministry of Trade, Trade Experts Veysel Karani Demirel, Beyza Basri Duman, Zeynep Merve Yavuz, Hatice Şafak Bozkır Aydoğmuş and Müberra Kocatürk, Atiye Gökçen, Director of Kütahya Customs, Burcu Gökçe Yılmaz Akın, Central Anatolia Insurance and Marketing Manager at Türk Eximbank, Haydar Öztürk, Deputy Branch Manager of Türk Eximbank Eskişehir Branch, Murat Demir, Director of the Kütahya 30 August Organised Industrial Zone, together with a large number of business representatives.

Delivering the opening speech, Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KUTSO, stated that Kütahya is one of Türkiye’s cities with a long-established manufacturing tradition and significant potential in both industry and exports. She emphasised that KUTSO attaches great importance to initiatives aimed at strengthening its members’ presence in international markets. Argat underlined that, amid the ongoing transformation of global trade, access to finance, branding, digitalisation, green transformation, and the effective utilisation of government support schemes are among the key factors enhancing the competitiveness of businesses. She also stated that KUTSO would continue its efforts, in close cooperation with public institutions and the business community, to permanently increase Kütahya’s exports beyond the one-billion-dollar threshold.

Following the opening remarks, Mehmet Ali Kılıçkaya, Director General of Exports at the Ministry of Trade, delivered a presentation entitled “Türkiye’s Export Vision”, providing an overview of the country’s export objectives, developments in global trade, and his assessment of the future of exports.

Throughout the day, experts from the Ministry of Trade delivered comprehensive presentations on export financing; support schemes for enhancing international competitiveness and the Green Deal; branding and design support; promotion and trade fair support; the Support Management System (DYS); e-export support; and the KİP and E-KİP applications. Participants had the opportunity to obtain detailed information on the latest support mechanisms, application procedures, and implementation processes available to exporters. They also engaged directly with the experts by asking questions and discussing issues relevant to their businesses.

Hosted by KUTSO, the programme concluded as a significant gathering that contributed to informing exporting companies about the current support mechanisms, encouraging businesses seeking to enter export markets, and strengthening the international competitiveness of the Kütahya business community.
