KUTSO MAY ASSEMBLY COMMİTTEE MEETİNG HELD AT OUR CHAMBER

The May Assembly Committee Meeting of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) was held in the meeting hall of our Chamber with the participation of Chairman of the Board of Directors Esin Güral Argat, Assembly and Board Members, Assembly Committee Chairpersons, and Assembly Committee Members. The meeting was moderated through a presentation delivered by Board Member Fatih Alkış.

The meeting commenced with the opening of the April Assembly Committee Meeting and the presentation of certificates to newly registered members.

During the presentation delivered by Chairman of the Board of Directors Esin Güral Argat, evaluations were made regarding developments in the global economy, geopolitical risks, increasing energy and financing costs, and the transformation process faced by the business world. In particular, issues such as access to finance, cost pressures, the need for a qualified workforce, green and digital transformation processes, and the diversification of export markets were addressed.

The presentation also highlighted the importance of strengthening Kütahya’s production capacity through a value-added, sustainable, and technology-oriented structure. It was emphasised that sectors ranging from ceramics and mining to agriculture and tourism should be evaluated within a mutually supportive development ecosystem. Attention was also drawn to the importance of Assembly Committees adopting a solution-oriented approach, while information was shared regarding efforts to address sectoral needs through data-driven analyses.

In his speech, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Emin Yüce shared his professional experiences and the duties he has undertaken within industry and non-governmental organisations, while also offering reflections on his retirement process.

During the continuation of the meeting, Secretary General H. Feyyaz Ebeoğlugil delivered briefing presentations on the projects titled “Welding with Virtual Reality: Realistic Experiences, Lasting Skills”, the KUTSO 100th Year SME Organised Industrial Zone Building Cooperative, and the “Business Leaders of the Future” Entrepreneurship Acceleration Programme.

Under the heading “A Voice Among Us”, Fatih Kök, Member of the 5th Assembly Committee and Assembly Member, delivered a presentation regarding the effects of global developments on the petroleum and oil sector.

The meeting concluded with evaluations by the Assembly Committees concerning their respective sectors, discussions on current legislation and amendments published in the Official Gazette, followed by wishes and closing remarks.
