VISIT FROM KUTSO TO DR MUSTAFA ALTUĞ ATALAY, DIRECTOR GENERAL AT THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY

Esin Güral Argat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO), together with Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Emin Yüce and Board Members Fatih Alkış, Melih Aslan and Semra Tozaraydın, paid a courtesy visit to Dr Mustafa Altuğ Atalay, Director General of the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM) at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

During the visit, Kütahya’s agricultural and livestock potential, the current state of the sector, and the main challenges faced by producers were discussed. Evaluations were made particularly on supporting rural development, increasing efficiency in agricultural production, the importance of value-added production, strengthening irrigation infrastructure, and the wider adoption of modern agricultural practices. In addition, topics included the R&D activities carried out by the General Directorate of Agricultural Research and Policies (TAGEM), the development of innovative agricultural technologies, production models adapted to climate change, and projects aimed at increasing productivity in domestic seed production and livestock farming.

The visit concluded with the exchange of mutual good wishes and evaluations regarding the continuation and further strengthening of cooperation in the period ahead.
