VISIT AND CONGRATULATIONS FROM THE KUTSO DELEGATION TO THE TURKISH RED CRESCENT
A delegation from the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KUTSO) paid an official visit to the Turkish Red Crescent’s Headquarters Building in Ankara.
As part of the visit programme, KUTSO Chairman of the Board of Directors Esin Güral Argat, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Emin Yüce, KUTSO Board Member and Turkish Red Crescent Central Executive Board Member Semra Tozaraydın, together with Board Members Fatih Alkış and Melih Aslan, met with Professor Dr Fatma Meriç Yılmaz, President of the Turkish Red Crescent. During the meeting, discussions focused on the humanitarian relief activities carried out by the Turkish Red Crescent, its social responsibility initiatives, and projects aimed at strengthening social solidarity. In particular, evaluations were made regarding disaster management, raising awareness of blood donation, the wider promotion of volunteering activities, and support mechanisms for disadvantaged groups.
The meeting also underlined the importance of cooperation between the business community and civil society organisations, and assessed the contributions that could be made through the joint implementation of sustainable, high-impact projects.
Within the scope of the visit, a congratulatory visit was also paid to Semra Tozaraydın, who has been elected to serve as a Member of the Turkish Red Crescent Central Executive Board and is also a Member of the KUTSO Board of Directors. During the visit, at which congratulations were conveyed on her new appointment, attention was drawn to the Turkish Red Crescent’s 157-year distinguished history and its humanitarian relief activities carried out both in Türkiye and internationally, while emphasis was placed on the contributions that this important role is expected to bring.
It was stated that this role, which provides significant representation for Kütahya, is a source of pride, and thanks were expressed for this valuable contribution brought to the city.
The visits concluded with the exchange of mutual good wishes.
